Program Summary

The Texas Principal Excellence Program (TxPEP) is an innovative self-paced professional development program for principals and aspiring principals in the Texas public school system (including charter schools). The objective of the program is to provide an opportunity for participants to increase their leadership and management skills through customized learning and the application and implementation of innovative practices on the campus.

TxPEP was created by the Texas Legislature in 2006.  The program is funded through a grant provided by the Texas Education Agency and was designed and continues to be operated by the American Productivity & Quality Center in partnership with the University of Houston-Victoria School of Business.

Registration for TxPEP 2009-2010 is closed.
